This is an unusually early preview of the not-yet-scheduled sequel to the TOR book Off Armageddon Reef.
Since it isn't on the TOR schedule yet, David doesn't know if or when any systematic snipping may occur.
At the moment, I suspect that David didn't want to hear endless piteous pleas for snippets at LibertyCon next weekend, so I figure he tossed this out to slake our thirst and tease the crap out of us all.
